Um, you know that drowning rhino I was talking about yesterday?

Well, he was shot dead in the water.

Tomorrow is my last day of classes for this semester!!!  I am so ready for it to be over.  I never had ‘senioritis’ in high school, but it think I have contracted some kind of delayed onset strain of the disease.

I’ve already jumped the hurdle in Astronomy class; it was the six page research paper that I completed in 10 hours and 24 minutes and got an ‘A’ on (YES!), but Chem. II has been kicking my ass for the past 4 months.  I don’t know if I will pass the course. I really would like to pass but there is no rescuing a drowning rhinoceros, unless you have a very large crane and Steve Irwin, neither of which I have.

I should be studying now…

As I watched the space shuttle, Atlantis, launch today at EXACTLY 2:28 PM EST, I pondered the massive amount of energy needed for the shuttle to escape the gravitational pull of the earth.  I mean, the Moon weighs 8.08 x 10^19 tons and it couldn’t escape the gravitational pull of the earth, so how can man heave a 2,250 ton space shuttle into space?
