A Blanket Statement
Birds are the best animal. First of all they have wings and who isn’t jealous of wings? Wings are way better than legs, which birds have in addition to wings! Birds can go anywhere with their wings. Even penguins! They can’t fly with their wings but they can swim (in water!) with them. Second, they could beat any other animal in a fight. If it was fighting an animal with eyes it...

Today a dog expressed it’s anal glands all over my neck, forearm, and scrub top. Later, the vet said she had never seen a dog express that much of it’s glands on its own. If you don’t know what anal glands are, click here. THIS IS THE MOST TRAUMATIC THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME.

IT SNOWED TODAY!!!
For about 5 seconds and then it quickly turned into rain, as if the ground needs to be anymore saturated.

Tomorrow is my last day of classes for this semester!!!  I am so ready for it to be over.  I never had ‘senioritis’ in high school, but it think I have contracted some kind of delayed onset strain of the disease. I’ve already jumped the hurdle in Astronomy class; it was the six page research paper that I completed in 10 hours and 24 minutes and got an ‘A’ on (YES!),...

As I watched the space shuttle, Atlantis, launch today at EXACTLY 2:28 PM EST, I pondered the massive amount of energy needed for the shuttle to escape the gravitational pull of the earth.  I mean, the Moon weighs 8.08 x 10^19 tons and it couldn’t escape the gravitational pull of the earth, so how can man heave a 2,250 ton space shuttle into space? …. By burning 803 tons of fuel and...

I burned my mom a copy of my HorseFeathers cd and added 2 daytrotter tracks, one of which is named ‘Walking and Running’; I just realized the the first two verses of the song are as follows: “Walking and running/ Sucking and fucking” … I wonder if she noticed. :/

Fall Tour 2009 Polaroid Photo Project.
This is an incredibly awesome idea. So incredibly awesome that I, in fact, bought one. jennyowenyoungs: I love shooting peel-apart instant photographs.  I thought it might be fun for me (and possibly you?) if I offered up to the public shots that have yet to be taken.  I’m hitting the road again this fall, first on the Revival Tour, and then supporting MAE.  During this time, I’ll be using a...

Episode 4 - Bess Rogers
This is so great. I was pretty sure I didn’t recognize the second song until the chorus started and then my suspicions were confirmed. bedroomsessions: With special guest, the great Bess Rogers. Performing “Yellowbird” from her EP “Travel Back” and Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Gotta Do With It”. Sick!! Filmed in Brooklyn, NY, USA. Bess’s bedroom. July 2009.

Of Love and Laundry
My mom has been sick for the past few days so I’ve been doing some of the housework for her. I was starting a load of laundry while she took her temperature and my brother relayed her answers to my questions, because laundry is serious business; you don’t want to screw it up. It went like this: me: How much detergent? To line 2? brother (for mom): yeah. me: Do I leave the cycle on...

Cleaning my Augean Stables
Emailing all the downdloaded music ‘n stuff from the family desktop to my laptop is beginning to look like a daunting task. I didn’t realize how much music I download on a weekly basis.  It’s alot. Plus all my pictures and videos. If someone looked at my hdd they would think I was a hoarder, but instead of hoarding empty cereal boxes and dead flowers, I hoard live concerts and...

My laptop has been returned; sporting a shiny new motherboard. The old dingy motherboard is wrapped tight in pink bubble wrap. I don’t know what I can do with it other than pop all the bubbles on the bubble wrap. Oh god I could spend all day popping bubble wrap. It’s like crack to me. My brother ordered a car part and it came wrapped in bubble wrap with 2 inch bubbles. I wet myself. ...
